Tell It Like It Is

One of my favorite lines from the Addams Family movie (1991) is from an often-forgotten part of the movie. The Addamses are staying at a cheap motel because they’ve been kicked out of their famously creepy home, eating cereal in front of the TV and wondering what to do with themselves.

When I was growing up, I never once said, “You know what? I want to be an entrepreneur.” No siree. My dad was an entrepreneur, and I watched it and thought to myself, “Self, that looks stressful and overwhelming and I could not do it.”
