Marketing is a lot like cooking. You need the right ingredients, a solid recipe, and a pinch of creativity to make something that's absolutely delicious.

But, what if you’ve never cooked a day in your life before?

That’s where we come in. Let us be the Remy to your Linguini. (Ratatouille, anyone?)

From brainstorming ideas to executing a flawless strategy, the marketing process is a journey that requires teamwork, skill, and a whole lot of caffeine. So, grab your apron and get ready to whip up a marketing masterpiece that'll leave your customers drooling.

Building a Foundation

Onboarding & Discovery

Getting to know each other, learning about the important things so we can start planning the rest.

  1. Meet and greet: Let’s get to know each other a bit, hang out, talk about our coffee preferences, laugh at silly gifs, and set expectations for our relationship. This part is 100% necessary and sets us up for good things in the future.
  2. Project setup: It’s no secret that we love project management. We know a well-managed project is key to things getting done on time, on budget, and with minimal frustrations. Onboarding allows us to set up your projects to ensure we have a great foundation going forward. Pro Tip: Join our Asana! Then we can all interact on the project together.
  3. Learn what makes you, you: We want to collect the information you already have (potentially mission, vision, values statements, or personas) and do research to help fill in the gaps that you don’t.
  4. Goals setting: What’s your goal in marketing? Do you want to make more friends? Invite people you already know? Take over the world? We’ll help you define your goals and determine benchmarks to get you there.

Marketing Strategy

Who’s coming to the party? What do we need to prepare for them?

  1. Research: We may need to go deeper beyond what you already have (or don’t). Making sure we have a great strategy sets us both up to win.
  2. Marketing guide: You may already know that “everyone” isn’t always a helpful answer when someone asks who your audience is. It’s important to determine who your target audience is, what they like, where they live, what their decision-making traits and challenges are (personas) as well as who YOU are and how you communicate with your voice and visual assets.
  3. Planning: Okay, we have all of the pieces, let’s start planning! Let’s get a 12-24 month strategy built out with key action steps and goals.

Brand Strategy & Design

What’s on the menu? What’s the style of the party? What’s the decor and vibe?

  1. Logo - Is there something about your logo that just isn’t speaking to you anymore? When you look at it, do you not feel like it’s you anymore? Don't worry, we’ve got you covered. We’re here to help you have a logo that's so iconic, people will tattoo it on their foreheads (okay, maybe not that extreme, but you get the point).
  2. Brand elements & guide - Let's not forget about the brand elements - we're talking colors, fonts, and graphics that will make your competitors green with envy. We want you to shine ✨so let us help you get all the equipment needed into the most aesthetically pleasing brand guide that meets your needs.

How do you communicate?

  1. Voice & Tone - It's time to pay attention to how your business sounds in marketing, don't you think? It’s SO important to connect with your audience if you don't know how to speak their language. It's like making an entire 3-course meal all themed around duck just to find out all the guests are vegan. Awkward? Very. So, take a moment to figure out who you're talking to and how you want to come across. Are you a cool and casual brand, or are you more on the professional side? Once you know your voice and tone, stick with it. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

Preparation & Planning

Marketing Plan (The recipe)

Now that you know your audience, how to reach them, and what you want to make, you’re ready to build a recipe. This is a list of all your ingredients, cooking timeline, and deliverables. Without this, you might get lost along the way.

Creative (The ingredients)

Gather your ingredients, and create the assets needed (design and copy). They help turn your marketing recipe into a reality!

Implementation

Setting up

Now you start cooking! Get your ads set up, your social calendar planned, and those automated email campaigns built. Then all you need to do is hit go.

Adjusting

Make sure you taste as you go, and keep an eye on things. If it’s not quite right, be open to making adjustments! You want your final result to be delicious (and effective).

Perfecting

After the meal, ask your guests how it was. Make adjustments for next time so you can perfect your recipe based on all the knowledge you now have.

A chef is creative with food. We’re creative with marketing. And hopefully, it all ends up being delicious.

Psst... Hey!

We'll be closed from December 22nd - January 1st. See you in the new year!
