Here's What We Did

We started by building a data-driven strategy that was equal parts creative and analytical. Our approach included:

Audience Research & Segmentation:

We dug deep into the demographics and behaviors of their existing audience to create personas for their ideal audience in order to tailor our message to attract more of the right people.

Ad Placements

The most potential subscribers were spending a significant amount of time on Facebook,  so we met them where they were. We narrowed in on the audience and their interests while keeping the reach wide enough to grab other potentially interested folks.

Ad Content & Type

We took their existing content that was being updated bi-weekly and created bite-size pieces that would intrigue new users to submit their email directly on Facebook (lead form ads). Once someone gave us their info, Zapier would automatically add them as a contact in Mailchimp.

Follow-Up

It’s important to note that while ads were a major portion of the puzzle, there were multiple paths into the email list, and each specific entrance allowed the user to have a more customized welcome experience.

For example, before our audience members were  added to the newsletter, they went through an email drip campaign based on the specific content they showed interest as well as a welcome drip campaign to make sure they felt informed and part of the community. 

And Now... The Results!

From 20k to 100k+

Over the course of about 3 years we helped them grow their email list from around 20k to more than 100k subscribers. This growth has helped their team continue to build meaningful relationships with their audience, driving both loyalty and long-term organizational success.
